Saffron Steamed Basmati Rice is not much difficult to cook you just need some attention and devotion to cook the food.
Here are the ingredients which you need to make the Saffron Steamed Basmati Rice.
- 4 tablespoons grape seed oil, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon saffron thread
- 2 1/2 cups long grain basmati rice
- 2 tablespoons salt, divided
Now after gathering all the ingredients in their exact quantity you just have to follow the few steps:
First of all you have to wash the rice in the normal water and keep them socked in the warm water for about 2 to 3 hours (must add some salt in the water). Then it’s time to soak the Saffron in the four table spoon of water for some time.
After that drain the water of rice and pour it in the large pan which should be half filled with water. And bring it to boil.
Add some salt in the pan of rice according to your choice the rice will took 10 minutes to boil for getting a bit softer.
Then again drain the rice and wash it with the warm water. Now pour 3 table spoon of grape seed oil in the pan and then add the rice in the pan.
Now put the rest of the grape seed oil (one spoon) in the saffron water and pour its half quantity in the rice. Tightly covered the pan and let it cook for 10 minutes on the medium heat until a crust would become on the bottom of the rice.
Sprinkle the remaining saffron water and oil mixture over the rice. Then low the heat and let it cook while covering the lid tightly you can use paper towel. Let the rice be cooked in the pan 45 minutes. After that remove it from heat and wait for 5 minutes. Remove the lid and you can enjoy the rice
