HFCS (High-Fructose Corn Syrup) Is Not Healthy
You must have seen advertisements trying to refurbish the poor image of high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). They are basically trying to promote this junk food additive as “healthy”.
The advertising campaigns claim that high fructose corn syrup is “health food”, but they do try to fool people into thinking that it’s not bad for your health.
The manufacture procedure of high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) was established in Japan in the 1960s and became popular with manufactured foods in the late 1970s.
In these days HFCS replaces sugar in various processed foods including breads, cereals, breakfast bars, lunch meats, yogurts, soups and condiments. These HFCS rich products are not only cause to suffering an obesity epidemic, as well as skyrocketing degenerative diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and cancer but the rise in obesity might be linked to the rise in consumption of high-fructose corn syrup. HFCS appears to raise triglycerides which are blood fats that increase the risk of heart disease.
If you want to be lean and healthy for life, you should be reducing, or even removing all sugar and high fructose corn syrup. In fact, most processed food should be eliminated altogether if you want to be serious about getting slim.
So the next time you’re thinking about drinking that can of soda, or eating that candy bar or cupcakes, just think about how that is only going directly against your efforts to lose body fat and can even lead to other health problems in excess.
