Fashion Pakistan Week 5 is back again. There are thousands of fashion lovers, hundreds of fashion designers, models, photographers, fashion websites, blogs, magazines were eagerly waiting for the new dates of Pakistan’s biggest fashion week afer it was postponed few days ago.
So, the day has come for the talented designer to show the their exclusive designs with colors—of models to show the magic of their curves and figures wearing dashing and new trendy dresses—of the photographers to capture the looks of these models and exclusive designs—of the fashion websites and blogs to cover it as well.
Shamaeel Ansari, Chairperson Fashion Pakistan, broke the news during a press conference and told details about much awaited Fashion Pakistan Week 2013, “As we announce the 5th event, the Fashion Pakistan council moves to a new strength. We proudly announce a 35 percent increase in membership and a healthy self-sustaining financial health in the last 02 years with dynamic industry presence.”
Ms Ansari continued, “This Fashion Week takes our designers across international frontiers turning talent into trade as we partner with the Labels-Style360 e store to ensure what is seen on the ramp is available to purchase soon after, worldwide. Our live streaming will also ensure that those interested in Pakistani fashion, be it in Pakistan or abroad, have instant access to the latest catwalk trends as seen at FPW. I am confident that the vibrancy of product ranges and skills will bring forth an added boost to the growing fashion industry.”
Previously the FPC members have decided that after observing the situation of law and order in the city of Karachi and to join the families in their sorrow of the victims who are being killed in the target killing and incident of bomb blast in Abbas Town.
A letter has been issued by the Fashion Pakistan Week that contains, “Given the continuing unrest in Karachi and after intensive consultations with our advisers and well wishers, we have with a heavy heart, decided to postpone the fashion week. We will reassess the situation in a couple of weeks, and keep you in the loop. Thank you for being a part of the Fashion Pakistani Family.
Your continuous support has been of immense encouragement to the council.” Most of the designers and other stakeholders have appreciated this step and CEO of Fashion Pakistan Council Designer Maheen Khan“We have decided with a heavy heart to postpone it indefinitely. A fashion week is a celebration… and we cannot insult people who are suffering when times are so bad. I cannot endanger the lives of others.”
